if days were capable of winning awards, yesterday would have won an oscar. it started off with me forcing dane to wear red white and blue which he DID. and there was nary a lightning mcqueen to be seen, god bless america.
we then walked 2 blocks to our town’s parade which was very norman rockwell and goosebump inducing. i love a parade.
nothing says i love america like a finger permanently entrenched in your nose:
we then walked to the local park where there was music and dancing and pretty much the whole town’s population. dane played and played until it was time to ride the scooter back home for a nap. danny stayed with the sleeping kids while i ran to a rehearsal. then we got up and went down to the waterfront where our friends had parked their rv. the baby slept in the rv while the big kids and the grownups watched the surprisingly great fireworks display.
it was 11:30 by the time we got home. both kids are still sound asleep at 9:15 am. hope your day was at least half as awesome as ours!
